Who would be the audience for your media product?

 My media products audience could be very broad as many people could relate to the storyline. The storyline is based on a girl being stalked by her ex boyfriend and the male character follows the girls every footstep. He films her every move and has photos of her up on a wall in his room which is shown flashing throughout my thriller opening. 

I think the main audience would be 15-21 year old girls as the main character is female and is in between these ages. This could be my main target audience as they can relate to it more making it more interesting for the viewer making them ask themselves the question what if... It could also be seen as a warning to girls of this age as it will show it could happen to anyone.

Thrillers usually have an age restriction for the viewers of 15 and in some 18 which could limit the audience to my thriller. I would label of thriller as a 15 meaning that people who are aged 15 and above would be able to view my thriller.

I have also done secondary research to see which ages prefer thrillers. I found that mainly younger adults prefer to watch thrillers as they like the feeling of suspense and find them very interesting. This has also helped to suggest my main audience.

Although I believe my thriller will appeal to females more than males i found through research that both males do enjoy watching thrillers and this is because males enjoy action and like the fact that something gets there heart beating.
